The concept for let’s talk film was born out of the observation and frustration of the absence of women reviewing films on-air in the news media. let’s talk film offers contemporary women of all backgrounds and ages on the local level, an opportunity to collectively review and discuss all aspects of some of the latest film releases in theatres, online and now, video-on-demand.
These shared opportunities have afforded many of our female panelists the ability to broaden their perspectives on these films and in general, filmmaking. At the same time, their voices have been heard, respected and appreciated for their differences and similarities while also heightening the awareness of our viewers.
Many have stated that these are films that they may have never seen, while for others, they may be films that they may have never viewed in the theatre had they not been apart of this series platform. The professional alliances and bonds that have been fostered because of the let’s talk film connection are innumerable.
